Dear Friends,
Have you noticed that since the rain stopped falling, the weather has been noticeably warmer?!! Spring is just around the corner, and it is only fitting that we welcome in the spring with a suitably warming tipple!
As a special treat this coming month, for those interested we will be visiting Rod’s whisky distillery located about 30 minutes from the club, where we will be sharing a hot breakfast, and some warm new make, straight off the still! We will also be sampling some ageing spirit, taken straight from ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels, with a full tour for those interested! The address is 438 Yarramalong Road, Wyong Creek, and we will gather there between 8am and 9.30am on Saturday 5 September.
Some members plan to be at the Club from the afternoon/evening of Friday 4th September, and make the trip together in convoy on the Saturday morning, whilst others are planning to come to the distillery first, and then come to the Club (especially those who come from the Hunter/Newcastle. The main thing is to post online what your plans are, so that we make sure there is some brekky for you!!
We are planning a bring-and-share-whilst-COVID-safe dinner on Saturday 5th, and most people will be around for most of Saturday. We understand that some folk will not be able to stay for Sunday due to Father’s Day Commitments, so we will hold the monthly meeting at about 5pm on Saturday in the Club house instead.
