Welcome to our Members Chalk Board!
This is the spot where members chat about their plans to visit Naturi, to co-ordinate visits, to holler for some help, and generally get excited about our nudist community.
Remember – if you want to chat about an upcoming event – you can post comments about that event at the relevant story in the Events Section of this website.

FURTHER COVID-19 UPDATE
Hi friends, due to legislation passed on 30 March 2020, non-essential gatherings of more than 2 people are now banned. Sadly this means that our monthly gatherings at Naturi will need to go on hold for a while. I have posted a note on our Event for 4/5 April noting that this has been cancelled, and also updated the comments in the special COVID-19 post in the Events section. Stay safe everyone, and remember to keep in touch in other ways while we cannot meet in person – through this website, on Facebook, etc. Love you’s all!!! Rod

COVID-19 Comment
Hi everyone! Because of the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have posted a special item in the EVENTS section of the website. I have outlined some interim rules to guide us through this difficult time ahead. I expect that many members may choose to stay home and not participate for a few months. If that is you – then stay safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you soon when all of this has blown over. If you are intending to visit Naturi in the next month or two, it must only be on condition that you abide by the strict rules I have set out. Thanks for you support in this regard, Rod x

Hi everyone!
Thank you to all of those who came last weekend and participated so fully in our AGM. On a few key issues we went to the extent of going around the group so that every person had the opportunity to share their views, to ensure our decision-making was based on a consensus, and not just the views of the vocal few. There was a tremendous sense of unity in our discussions, which speaks volumes for the quality of our shared community at Naturi.
This is my summary of the key points and actions arising from that meeting (NB: as this is a public site, some comments below are necessarily kept general in nature)
1. We have reason to be optimistic about our future as a Club, and so we have decided to start moving forward on the assumption that Naturi will continue on and flourish in coming years! Part of this is to update the website to remove comments stating that things are on hold (Rod has now done this).
2. The membership fees have been around the $60-$70 mark for at least 20 years. We need to significantly increase the fees as they are insufficient to meet present obligations, let alone to fund necessary maintenance, let alone development of the Club facilities. We unanimously voted to increase annual fees to $200 per person, $400 per couple. Annual fees are now payable for the coming 12 months, so members should make payment of their membership fees ASAP, and certainly well before our next gathering in April.
3. We are going to review visitors fees etc at our next meeting, but they will need to be substantially increased so that there is a saving in becoming a member rather than simply paying visitor fees each month. Additionally, the view of the meeting was that we should not allow people who have been members in the past, but now just come and go occasionally and pay a visitors fees. We want people involved at Naturi who are either paid up members, or new faces who are exploring the potential to become members.
4. We will continue to fund Eric’s work on the pool at the same level, but at the same time we will look as seeing whether we can get better equipment with automatic timers so as to reduce the time Eric needs to spend on the pool. We may be able to get his help with some lawn mowing etc in lieu of the pool work if this is successful. We felt that the financial support of Eric and Maree was a worthwhile thing for the Club to commit to, as an expression of our gratitude for our continuing use of the Club facilities.
5. Thanks were expressed for Debbie’s substantial contribution as Treasurer over the last few years. Brett was voted in as Treasurer for the coming 12 months and Phil as Minutes Secretary (assuming he accepts this appointment).
6. Historically Heinz operated as the effective President, but with his passing, there has been a leadership gap. The meeting voted that Rod’s current title of Secretary be changed to that of President as this more properly reflects the new reality without Heinz. Rod will continue to manage the website (and with that, communications in and out from the Club). Rod will also liaise with Maree regarding site issues to ensure that our actions are in accordance with the wishes of the family.
7. As part of raising our profile in the naturist community, Rod will organise for a Naturi advertisement to go into TAN magazine again, and we will discuss potentially re-joining the ANF, as this will also help in raising new membership opportunities. (Rod has now contacted Stuart Whelan from TAN Magazine to organise this).
8. Thanks were expressed for those who have made a significant effort in the last few weeks to cut down and move fallen trees. After the meeting, we did a walk around the site and identified some good sites for vans, but there are a number of more trees which will need to be removed to realise our plans. Rod and Terry will be walking around the site with Maree and Eric at 9am on Sunday 5th April (this is confirmed) to get appropriate approvals.
9. We have confirmed that the next gathering is on the first weekend in April, noting that the second weekend is Easter, and most of us have family commitments which will preclude us from being at the Club for that whole weekend.
I think that covers it – but if I missed something critical, no doubt someone will mention it!
Cheers,
Rod

Hi Rod, great summary:) @ Dear Rod / Brett (holder of the purse strings) the cost for the pool plug in timer, overload protection and water resistant enclosure is ~$100. If this is OK, please let me know and l can buy what we need and have everything ready to plug in on 4th April. Regards Greg

Hi Greg – great stuff. Using my new presidential powers (hahaha) I am happy to approve this expenditure. Eric will be joining Maree for our walk about at 9am on Sunday 5th April, so perhaps if you can join us for that discussion, we could also discuss the pool with Eric at the same time? Cheers, Rod

Hi everyone , Ann & I have managed to clear the track into Naturi & other trees which were down , a lot of work still to be done as the rain has caused problems with the drains & washed away some of the track , be careful when you drive up !
So bring your work gloves to the next weekend event , still have at least 1 tree to cut and lots of cut timber to move !
At this time please do not park any vehicles on the grassed area as it is a swamp and will take a month of good dry weather to dry up , there was a river running through it yesterday!
Looing forward to seeing everyone as early as possible on the 7th TO ASSIST IN THE CLEAN UP THE PLACE IS A BIT OF A MESS !
Also Rod could you contact Marie concerning the pool as bottom was green again , filter was not on , maybe there is a problem ?
Thank Terry & Ann

However Ann & I will probably be up on Sunday for lunch & a swim if anybody would like to join us (weather permitting) .Looking forward to seeing anyone available then . Thanks Ann & Terry

Thanks Ann & Terry, sounds like everyone had a great time over the Australia Day Long Weekend. I was down in Melbourne for the tennis, but it was lovely to be able to catch up for lunch at the Club with Baz & Sue and Brett & Jans on my way through on Monday!
Regarding our March meeting, we could make this on the weekend of 29 Feb/1 March, or the following week 7/8 March. If I could have a general indication here on the Chalk Board as to everyone’s preference, I will confirm which one works best. I am at a wedding on 29 Feb, so I would prefer 7/8 March.
Recent feedback is that we are likely to be able to keep using the Club grounds indefinitely (yay!!), so it would be great to have a strategic meeting on the Sunday where we talk in more detail about our plans for the whole year, talk about what the priorities are for upkeep of the Club facilities, and set some dates for events etc.
Cheers! Rod

Hi everyone, for those thinking of coming this weekend to the Hippy Christmas party, I have posted an update regarding the fire/smoke situation on that thread. Check it out!
LikeLike
BUSH FIRE UPDATES: Hi everyone, I am sure we are all keeping an eye on the RFS website to see whether Naturi is safe from the current spate of bushfires. So far the news is good – notwithstanding all of the smoke, no fires have directly threatened the specific area around our Club.
I have retrieved the Minutes Book and Sign In Book from the Clubhouse and am storing these at my place for the time being – I will bring them in for the next weekend.
If you have any valuables stored at the Club, it would be sensible to retrieve these. We can discuss more specific plans at the next Club meeting, I will be suggesting we each take some items from the Club house and store them at home until the end of January – e.g. our historical collection of naturist magazines, the framed photos and plaques in honour of Heinz and Eike.
Although the task of clearing away combustible materials from the site is likely a pretty hopeless effort, it would be good if we can do a bit of clearing immediately around the Clubhouse during the Christmas weekend.
We can expect that there will be a total fire ban on the weekend of our Christmas party – I am not sure if this will impact on food preparations – Terry and Ann will no doubt have this in mind.
Thanks everyone!

Hi all, as I can’t make the meeting tomorrow, I will give a hard copy of the Westpac statement, which Debbie has provided an updated copy of today. With all of the payments for membership, the main Westpac account is looking a lot healthier, with a balance of $1,246.32. There is a second account that Debbie opened that earns a little bit of interest, and that has $984.29 in it. Additionally the petty cash box now has $430 plus loose change, which includes my membership fee. So the grand total of current Naturi funds is $2,660. Cheers! Rod

Just a few reminders:
*at our October meeting we decided to levy the 2019 members fee because our club funds are running low, and due to delays in the administration of the estate we expect to still be running the club for the full membership year (March to March). Please pay $70 per person for your 2019 membership online, or bring cash for this next time you are at the club.
*Debbie has advised that our Westpac account is right down, so it’s very important that everyone is diligent in paying for vans and other fees – thanks for your help with this!
Cheers!

Hi everyone, Mick & Kath, who were at Naturi in January and who are longstanding friends of some of Naturi’s members have kindly invited all of us to stay over at their naturist place called Emu’s Nest, which you may have seen featured in TAN magazine. What they have proposed is that we come over on the weekend of 30-31 March. They are happy to charge us $30/head, which would include being able to stay in our own tents/trailers etc and they would feed us dinner on Saturday night and brekky on Sunday morning. I will be asking for an indication of who is interested at our gathering this weekend so that Mick and Kath have an idea of who is likely to come. We can discuss in greater detail this weekend, and/or email me privately if you want to know more. Cheers! Rod

I want to say how comforted I was to have so many Naturi members join with Heinz’s family and our many friends on Saturday. He was such a special man, kind, humble, caring, reliable, always ready to help others, asking nothing in return. It was a lovely day of friendship and from comments received, it was successful in that everyone could share their various happy memories of Heinz. This was a great comfort to all of us in our grief, and he will certainly not be forgotten by so many.
I would like to thank Rod and all Naturi friends for the beautiful bouquet of flowers, their colour and perfume give me great joy still.
Wishing the club every success in wherever the future takes them. For myself, it has been a pleasure to get to know you all and for the great way you welcomed me (even though I was not in uniform). Wishing you well, fond regards Pam Morgan Jones.

Thanks to all of the Naturi members who came to the memorial lunch for Heinz today. The family was blown away by how many people came, from so many groups that Heinz was a member of – the Wagner group, the philosophist group, the German group, the bushwalking group, and of course Naturi, along with family, neighbours etc. Many heartwarming stories were shared, it is incredible what you learn about a person after they have passed away. The common thread was just how much everyone respected Heinz as a gentle and wise man with a heart of gold. Rest in peace dear Heinz. x

I will be there, and I sincerely hope there can be a large turnout from the Naturi group to show the family how much Heinz was loved by us.
Also, Maree and her boyfriend Ian have accepted our invitation to dinner at the Club on 9th March, but unfortunately Eric cannot make it. I confirm therefore that this will be a clothed event, and I would ask members to dress no later than 5pm, well before their arrival. I will keep you updated when I get other RSVPs.
